A local gun store only recommended XYZ Firearms Training.  Shouldn't I go to the     place that they recommend?

Think.  Many retail gun stores employ retail clerks who teach CCW courses as a sideline, on weekends. Other stores recommend only family members or friends.   While there is nothing illegal with such cronyism, as a consumer, wouldn't it be smart to arm yourself (pun intended) with additional, impartial information before making such an important decision?   The Washoe County Sheriff's Office publishes a list of ALL instructors who have met their qualifications for teaching the Nevada CCW course. NOTE:  When do you want your class?  When it's convenient for you, or convenient for the crew of  XYZ Firearms Training?  We teach for a living, not as a sideline or hobby. Do you really want to be trained by a retail store clerk?
