Am I going to be on anyone's "list" after I take your course?

Yes. When you submit your application for a permit to the Sheriff's Office, a background check will be run on you, which will include having your fingerprints sent off to the FBI.  In other words, your name will be in a state and federal database. In today's world, if you can make it to age 21 and NOT be on someone's list, you should write a book, and let us know how it's done.  It'll be a best seller.

Your information will also be in our files. (GASP) Not to worry. We keep your records safely locked away in vast subterranean catacombs, several fathoms beneath mighty Semper Castle.  Our faithful scribe has vowed he will guard the protected files with his life. He is quite proud of his meticulous work, but he sometimes becomes disoriented and lost for days down in the catacombs. Please be patient when requesting extra copies of your paperwork.

Kidding aside, your student record is digitized and kept strictly confidential. We do not sell names. We may send you notices regarding changes in firearms laws or other important information. Otherwise, you probably won't hear from us. Please feel free to email or call us to stay in touch, and say hello.

More on Confidentiality and Privacy

In this age of constant, aggressive information gathering, many people desire a level of confidentiality and privacy. Semper Firearms Training respects our students' desire for confidentiality and privacy.

Have you ever attended a class, where you are asked to stand up, state your name, where you live, what you do for a living, your shoe size, and so on? Beyond sharing a first name, what compelling reason is there for having to reveal so much personal information to strangers? Some training schools subject students to this nonsense. We do not. You can be as anonymous as you wish to be in our class.
