Do you have daycare provisions for my kid(s) while I take the class?
|
No. For the
CCW class held in our classroom, all persons must be at least 21
years of age. Actually, you could take our class at age 20, hold the
certificate of training for one year, then submit it to the Sheriff's
Office on your 21st birthday.
If you have kids and cannot travel to a public class, you can avail
yourself of our convenient mobile service, where we come to you and
teach the course in your home. Even then, you will need
another adult present who can watch the children.
During the indoor/classroom segment, your instructor will need about
five (5) hours of uninterrupted
time in order to cover the mandatory course material. This
material is important, and we need your full
attention, because you will take a written test based on it. We will take breaks, but during the
class, persistent interruptions will simply not allow us to
complete the course, and you'll have to set aside another day to
complete the course, at additional expense to you.
After the
indoor segment is completed, you'll follow the instructor to a
shooting area where you will perform your live-fire qualification.
Children must be under absolute control at all times while at the
shooting range, for obvious safety reasons.
When the time comes, your youngster should be taught gun safety and
shooting skills. He or
she may have to defend YOU one
day.
