If you read through the whole website, you
might conclude that we have disdain for all retail
gun store clerks. Not true. While
many are as sharp as a marble, we do know some
excellent people
in the business who possess deep and wide knowledge of firearms and
related products. Some are competition shooters. Many are passionate
supporters of our 2nd Amendment. Those guys we love. In a
brotherly kind of way, of course. As in any industry, though, there
are bad apples. Those guys we don't like.
Our disdain is focused specifically on those retail gun store clerks
who pose as firearms instructors on the weekends
for extra cash. We are talking about
ANY instructor who:
Runs an 8 hour class in 4 hours, violating
Nevada's requirement for a full 8-hour course.
This also cheats the students. If you pay for 8 hours of
instruction, you should get what
you pay for.
Use unauthorized targets from whatever
yard sale they can find. This is the required target:
Humanoid type
B-27 or
B-21
Has multiple students shoot on one shared
target. Who scored what?
Offers no time for personal, one-on-one
instruction to shooters on the line.
Has non-certified "helpers" oversee the the line
while he does paperwork in the truck.
