The National Reciprocity Issue
Q: Why can't
we carry in all 50 states?
A: This
piece of paper basically says that you can. All gun laws
that restrict (infringe) our right to keep and bear arms are
unconstitutional. Until we get these bad laws off the books,
however, you risk jail time for violating these laws.
Some elected officials try every year to pass a
national reciprocity bill, where one state's permit would have
to be recognized by all 50 states. This initiative sounds good, but
there are many potential problems with this, e.g. a federal database of
gun owners - just what the anti-gun crowd has wanted for
years. There's much more to this issue than you might think.
We always
have a lively discussion on gun rights during every class. Until
then, read more on the subject here: Gun Rights Links
